This week, Microgaming has announced its latest online gaming partnership. The popular online slots provider has recently signed a deal with ITV Studios to create an online slot based on the iconic disco band, The Village People.

Out in 2019

The new Village People online slot from Microgaming won’t be out until 2019, and we don’t know many of the details yet. However, what has been revealed is that the game will feature a soundtrack of popular Village People hits, like In the Navy and Macho Man. It is likely to be a game like NetEnt’s Guns n Roses, where you can scroll through different music options as you play.

“Village People is an iconic brand that has remained popular with mainstream audiences since the 70s and 80s. Microgaming is proud to be adding the symbolic title to its extensive branded slots portfolio,” says Microgaming’s Chief Operating Officer, Andrew Clucas.

Microgaming is known for its collection of branded online slots games, having launched plenty of games based on popular films and TV shows, including Game of Thrones and Tomb Raider. This will be Microgaming’s first online slot based on a musician, but we’re sure that it is going to be an exciting game that offers up plenty great gameplay features.
